The Foundation<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\"\"<\/strong>The German Foundation for Health Information and Prevention (DSGIP) was founded in 2009 as a non-profit institution by Prof. Dr. med. J\u00f6rg Spitz from Schlangenbad\/Wiesbaden.<\/a> Its goal is “top prevention”.<\/p>\n

This term results from the claim to develop and promote preventive measures that are as effective and sustainable as possible. On the other hand the term is a wordplay with the German family name of the founder and the concern of the foundation: Spitz(en) translates into “the top” and therefore “top prevention”.<\/p>\n

As a first step, the Foundation collects and scrutinizes the latest research results from medicine, natural sciences and sociology from the perspective of health prevention in the 21st century.<\/p>\n

In the second step, the essence of the results is made available to the public via internet, print media, lectures.<\/p>\n

In the third step, initiatives for an applicable prevention in everyday life are developed from the evaluation and analysis of the data and implemented in cooperation with professional providers of health and prevention services.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Maria Beatriz Harouche, MD<\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

Maria Beatriz Harouche Vieira is a neurologist certified by the Board of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology. She worked for 9 years treating patients with neurological diseases and was team coordinator of the neurology department at Hospital Rios D’Or – Rio de Janeiro – Brazil until the end of 2015. She has a broad practical and theoretical background in the treatment of neurological diseases. She has been working with the Akademie f\u00fcr menschliche Medizin since 2018 and coordinates the international part of the “Knowledge stops Dementia” project.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Dr. rer. nat. Kerstin Gro\u00df-Steinmeyer<\/h3><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

Kerstin Gro\u00df-Steinmeyer ist staatlich gepr\u00fcfte Lebensmittelchemikerin und arbeitete nach dem Studium in der experimentellen Forschung, davon die letzten Jahre in Zusammenarbeit mit Prof. David L. Eaton an der University of Washington in Seattle. Der Schwerpunkt ihrer letzten Studien galt der Schutzwirkung von sekund\u00e4ren Pflanzenstoffen gegen\u00fcber krebsausl\u00f6senden Schimmelpilzgiften. Seit der R\u00fcckkehr nach Deutschland im Jahre 2005 galt ihre Aufmerksamkeit verst\u00e4rkt ihrer Familie und somit auch der Umsetzung ihres Wissens in den Alltag. Seit Ende 2019 ist sie im Team des Netzwerks f\u00fcr Spitzenpr\u00e4vention und koordiniert derzeit das Projekt \u201eKompetenz statt Demenz\u201c. Seit 2021 arbeitet sie auch als Heilpraktikerin.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
